The AKC formally discourages co ownership of dogs. But as many breeders will tell you, it is done in many cases for VERY good reasons. But it can be a confusing and touchy subject. And also a heartbreaking one in many cases. When clear goals are not established, both parties may end up unhappy. And every now and then, a beloved pet can be removed from it`s home. And a breeders bloodline can be corrupted by back yard breeders. Or worse, puppy mills. So how do we make this work? How can dog owners and breeders work together to make this fair? And what are your options, if you end up being one of the unlucky few with an unreasonable co owner? Those are a few of the things I hope to address on this website. If there is a good response, we will be setting up a chat forum very soon!
